General Terms and Conditions of Sale

These terms and conditions govern the purchase and sale of all Irène Khiêt products. By placing an order, the Buyer accepts these conditions.
We reserve the right to change or modify the general conditions of sale at any time. If we do so, we will indicate this here.

Payment and Price

I. PAYMENT AND PRICE

— A. An 80% deposit is required to process the order.


— B. The balance must be paid before shipment; it includes the balance due on the order and shipping costs.


— C. Payments must be made by bank transfer.


— D. The price of any product will be communicated directly by the studio or gallery, except in the case of obvious error. Our prices, valid for six months, may be modified at any time without prior notice. 


— E. Special orders, such as additional fabric supply or customization, must be paid in full in advance or paid directly by the customer. Fabric must be received 10 weeks before the delivery deadline.


— F. Customs duties, taxes, and additional fees may apply to international orders.


— G. We will proceed with your order as per your invoice unless we receive written notification of any requested changes within 24 hours.

— A. Our standard delivery times are 10 to 12 weeks from payment of the order and/or receipt of any other information or customized materials necessary for manufacturing.


— B. However, these lead times are sometimes extended due to:
- material availability;
- the handcrafted nature of manufacturing our unique products.
We will notify you of any significant changes to estimated delivery dates 
as soon as possible.


— C. Requests for expedited production will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will incur an additional charge proportional to the piece.

— A. Shipping costs are borne by the buyer. Ownership of the products is transferred to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier.

— B. In certain areas, a “white glove” delivery service is available upon request.

— C. Receipt of delivery
The Buyer is responsible for inspecting the packaging and products upon receipt and noting any damage on the delivery note. General reservations such as “subject to unpacking” are not accepted. Before placing an order, it is your responsibility to verify that the products can be delivered and installed in the desired space (room, doors, stairs, etc.).

— D. Additional fees apply, including a monthly storage fee of 5%, after 30 days of order availability.

— E. Force Majeure 
Although we will make every effort to meet the estimated delivery times, we will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performance due to an accident, force majeure (strike, war, shortage of materials, etc.), a delay in transportation, or any other cause that may hinder the activity of our company or that of our suppliers.
If such an event occurs, we may extend the delivery date for a period necessary to overcome the effect of such delay or cancel any purchase order.

Return Policy

IV. RETURN POLICY

— A. As products are made to order, orders cannot be canceled; we do not offer refunds or exchanges for credit.

 

 

— B. CRAFTSMANSHIP

Each piece is handmade by skilled artisans, which may result in subtle differences that are not considered defects but rather characteristics that make each piece unique.

 

— C. You must inspect the products for any damage immediately upon delivery. Claims for damage or defects must be made within 48 hours of receipt.

We do not accept products that, in our reasonable judgment, have been used, altered, or damaged by you or a third party for which we are not responsible.

All returns must be approved in advance.

 

— D. Products must be returned in the original shipping box, with the packaging materials and a copy of the shipping invoice.

Upon receipt of the returned product, we will examine all returned items to check for damage or defects and determine, at our reasonable discretion, whether the product was in fact damaged or defective when it was originally delivered.

If we find no defects in the returned products, you will be informed that the returned product cannot be accepted and it will be returned to you at your expense.

Defective products will be replaced within normal production times.

 

— E. Shipping costs are non-refundable. All costs of returning a damaged product are the responsibility of the Buyer.

 

— F. We will not be liable if returned products are lost, stolen, or mishandled.

V. INSTALLATION AND USE

— A. The Buyer is responsible for the proper installation, use, and maintenance of the purchased pieces.

— B. Our furniture is suitable for residential use. If commercial use is required, please direct any certification requests to us.

 

VI. PRODUCT INFORMATION AND REPRESENTATION

 

We make every effort to be as accurate as possible and to eliminate errors on the website. However, we do not guarantee that any product, service, description, photograph, price, or other information is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free.

Products may vary from reality due to the handmade nature of the products and screen variations.

 

VII. INTELLECTUAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY

 

All designs and content are protected by industrial property and copyright laws.
