The creations of Irène Khiêt Blaise, French designer and artist of Vietnamese ascendance, distinguish themselves by a familiar singularity, emanating from the contrast between mixed historical references and the avant-garde spirit of materials and geometric shapes.

Her aspiration to create has always been present: from childhood drawings, to the desire to study architecture and then interior design, she began by transforming furniture from her personal collection.
Using sketches and collages in a totally intuitive process, she gradually imagines her own pieces for a universe that is both emotional and non-conformist.

The prototype of her first piece, the Porfis chair, was exhibited as soon as it was created at Mexico Design Week in 2023, then during Art Week Mexico at Emmanuel Picault's Chic By Accident gallery, which has represented the designer ever since.

Based in Mexico City since 2010, she began her creative practice with photography and painting.
Her first photographs, presented in light boxes, were exhibited at the Festival International des Lumières de Mexico (FILUX), which attracted some 3 million visitors.

Her initial paintings, in a figurative-art brut vein with influences from Japanese contemporary art, were finalists in the Femsa Biennial of Contemporary Art.

Lately, she has been creating collages, continuing her artistic exploration.
